A new adaptation of Sophie Treadwell’s 1928 play based on the life and trial of Ruth Snyder. A young woman follows the path that society deems fit for her, despite feeling resistance. She marries her boss (a man she doesn't love), has a child with him, and then has an affair with a younger man. Revitalized by this experience, her moral conflict grows until she retaliates.
